Academics
Our academic program is thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse learning needs of students with autism by combining structured curriculum, innovative technology, and direct instruction in a small-group setting led by highly qualified educators.
Small class sizes allow our certified special education teachers to provide individualized attention, targeted instruction, and consistent support tailored to each student’s learning profile.
Students learn through a blend of Acellus Gold and Unique Learning System, both evidence-based curricula that support individualized learning and skill development.
Within this framework, certified special education teachers provide daily direct instruction, guiding students through lessons, reinforcing key concepts, and adapting instruction to meet individual needs. This small-group, teacher-led approach ensures that students receive the structure, repetition, and individualized support necessary to build confidence, strengthen core academic skills, and achieve meaningful academic progress.
Therapetic Services
Applied Behavior Analysis
At Holy Angels Academy, we offer both Comprehensive and Focused ABA Therapy Programs. Both therapy approaches are thoughtfully tailored to your child, adjusting along the way based on how they’re growing and responding. We use positive reinforcement to gently build new skills and help ease challenging behaviors, always in a supportive and encouraging environment. Every plan is personalized, so your child can learn, grow, and succeed in a way that feels right for them
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy at Holy Angels Academy is dedicated to empowering students to lead independent and fulfilling lives by focusing on the "occupations" of childhood and adolescence—learning, playing, and mastering the activities of daily living. Our therapists work one-on-one with individuals to develop fine motor precision, bilateral coordination, and the executive functioning skills necessary for both academic success and vocational readiness. From refining the mechanics of handwriting to navigating the complex steps of self-care, such as dressing or meal preparation, our OT program provides the foundational physical and cognitive tools required for autonomy. A central pillar of our approach is sensory integration, where we help students regulate their responses to environmental stimuli, creating a stable internal foundation for focused learning and emotional balance.
Speech Therapy
Our Speech-Language Pathology program is dedicated to unlocking the power of communication, ensuring that every student has the tools to express their needs, thoughts, and unique personality. Within our clinical spaces and classrooms, speech therapy goes beyond simple articulation; it encompasses the development of receptive and expressive language, social communication skills, and, when necessary, the implementation of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. By focusing on the foundational mechanics of speech alongside cognitive-linguistic goals, our therapists help participants navigate their world with greater clarity and confidence. Whether a student is finding their voice for the first time or refining complex social nuances, our program is tailored to meet them exactly where they are.
Nutrition Support
Our Feeding Therapy program is designed to transform mealtime from a challenge into an opportunity for growth and nourishment. Led by a specialized clinical team, this program addresses the complex physical, sensory, and behavioral aspects of eating. We work closely with students who experience oral-motor delays, sensory sensitivities to textures or smells, and restrictive eating patterns. By creating a supportive and structured environment, we help individuals expand their dietary range, improve chewing and swallowing mechanics, and develop the foundational skills necessary for safe, independent eating. Our goal is to foster a positive relationship with food that supports long-term health and social participation.
Medication Management
A vital component of our comprehensive clinical model is our partnership with Dr. Frampton Gwynette, who serves as one of our Medical Directors. Dr. Gwynette brings specialized expertise in psychiatric services and medication management specifically tailored for students with neurodevelopmental needs. For families at Holy Angels Academy, this partnership means that psychiatric care is not an isolated external service, but a deeply integrated part of the student's overall treatment plan.
After School ABA
At Holy Angels Academy, our After School ABA Treatment Program offers families a trusted, comprehensive option for after-school care and therapeutic support. Held from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., this program provides up to 15 hours of individualized ABA therapy each week, helping learners build meaningful skills that promote confidence, independence, and success in school.
Life Skills & Enrichment
Water Safety
Beyond safety, swimming offers many developmental benefits. Water-based activities help strengthen motor coordination, support sensory regulation, and reinforce the ability to follow routines and instructions. These skills extend far beyond the pool and support success in everyday life.
Horticulture
Operating within our professional-grade on-campus greenhouses, this amenity integrates vocational training with therapeutic practice, allowing individuals to master the art of plant care; from seeding and soil preparation to harvesting and retail display.
